Statistics: Russia’s inflation speeds up to 0.16% Jun 20–Mon
MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.16% from June 20 through Monday from 0.02% a week earlier, and reached 2.77% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
The fruit and vegetables prices increased by 0.3% on average. Onions became 3.9% cheaper, tomatoes 2.4%, cabbage 1%, bananas 0.9%, and cucumbers 0.2%. At the same time, prices for carrots rose by 4.2%, for potatoes by 4.1%, and for beetroots and apples by 1.5%.
Buckwheat prices decreased by 0.7%, sunflower oil prices by 0.65%, and prices for eggs by 0.4%. Poultry prices rose by 1.35% and sugar by 1%.
Retail prices for gasoline grew by 0.43%, and diesel fuel prices gained 0.1%.
